Winter Solstice
To celebrate the shortest day – Winter Solstice – we plan to have all classes together and have a fun mixed training day
18th June 1.30pm to 3.30pm
Simon Says is always a favourite, and you can try tunnel, jumps and weaving around cones, and other challenges.
Our class 5s will have a demonstration session for you to see what the ‘big kids’ can do and what you can achieve.
Puppy class will still be held at 1pm and any of you are welcome to stay and participate in, or just watch, the activities.
Everyone will still need to book into Eventbrite, but unfortunately the times cannot be changed, so we ask you to book into your normal class times. Activities will be starting at 1.30pm though
Looking forward to seeing all

No training Easter Saturday
A reminder that we do not hold training on Easter Saturday.
Enjoy the break and we’ll see you back on 23rd April 2022.
A friendly reminder…
- Members wishing to participate in classes are required to pre-book using our Booking system “Eventbrite”. This is used to enable us to manage class sizes, comply with Victorian Government legislation and contact trace if required. If you are unable to use the booking system please contact the office@northcoteobediencedogclub.org.au
- Handlers arrive early enough to “Check-In”and have themselves and their dogs ready for class (some dogs prefer to stretch their legs prior to class, some prefer to just say hello and have a chat)
- Be prepared for your class at the allotted time. Late comers may be refused entry into the class as it is disruptive for the instructor and other class members
- Please ensure you wear your correct name tag – this enables the club to ensure that you are a financial member, and meet the class attendance requirements (memberships are not transferable)
- Dogs should have appropriate collars and leads on in class. Harnesses and Gentle leaders cannot be used in class. A Halti may only be used with permission of Training Co-ordinators.
- Please wear appropriate footwear, there are a number of depressions in the ground, twigs, leaves etc that may injure your feet if you choose to wear open toed shoes/ thongs/ sandals.
- When finishing class please leave the class area quickly with your dog under control
Your assistance with these requirements is much appreciated.

Training commences in 2022
Happy New Year everyone
We are starting our new training year on 29th January 2022 with positive thoughts, and fingers and paws crossed that we don’t have another year like the last 2.
We will be continuing Covid safe behaviours – QR coding, encouraging masks and checking for double vaccinations – people’s that is.
If you have shown us your proof of vaccination, your name tag will reflect this with an NODC stamp.
If you do not have this stamp you will need to come to the office, show proof of vaccination and we will gladly NODC your nametag.
There may be changes to class times as these are currently being reviewed. Please check Eventbrite when booking.
Eventbrite will re-open 5pm this Saturday (22nd) until 5pm following Friday (28th)
Please note: because of Covid our class numbers are still limited
You must register please before attending – this allows the control of numbers and the Training Coordinator to allocate instructors accordingly.
Finished training for 2021
We have finished training for the year, and will be back on January 22nd to take new member registrations at 11.15am.
Existing members will be commencing on January 29th.
stay safe and see you in 2022

Return to Training – Saturday – 06th November
Hi everyone
We hope you are all as excited as we are to be able to finally get back to training. It’s been such a long, long time and we are sure all our favorite woofies will be looking forward to seeing their friends.
We are required to check QR codes and your covid vaccination certificate, or relevant documents. Please allow a little extra time for this. We are organized and prepared and hope there is not too much delay however … FYI – Yarra Council have made some alterations to the parking times around the park – please check the signs to make sure.
If you were in ‘puppy’ class at time of lockdown please book into “Class 1”. We will be revising the exercises you had learned and maybe adding some challenges.
We are restricted on numbers and when booking is closed at 5pm Friday, the class lists will be prepared.
Bookings close at 5pm Friday
Looking forward to seeing everyone
