Upcoming Events – 19th June 2021
To celebrate Winter Solstice we are going to do something different at training
Given that it is nearly the shortest day we plan to have all classes together and have a mixed training day
This way the young ones can see what the big kids can do and you can see what you can achieve.
More details will follow in the next couple of weeks
We will also be holding our Annual General Meeting on that day. This will be a very short meeting, but to comply with the rules of Affiliation, it is necessary.
The committee has made proposed changes to our constitution which will need to be approved.
The AGM is also our chance to thank all the Instructors and Committee for their commitment
We plan to hold AGM at 1.45pm then go straight into the fun activities
IMPORTANT FOR ALL MEMBERS – UPDATE
Training sessions are now cancelled for a further week due to the announcement by acting Premier James Merlino that the current lockdown will extended in Great Melbourne for a further seven days.
Further training updates will then be provided to our members though our communication channels Facebook / this Webpage and Email.
In the meantime, look after yourselves and your pooches.
This Saturday (27th March) we will be running classes a little differently – a Ringcraft day – for classes 3, 4 and 5.
We will be setting up 2 rings, to let you have an insight into what happens in a ring during a trial or club activity.
One of these rings is to demonstrate and explain the equipment used. In the other you will perform the exercises you and your dog learn in a normal class. This will be on a one-to-one basis with an instructor in the ring, who will be able to give you individual feedback, and encouragement.
Times will be different to your normal class times and Eventbrite has been altered for this Saturday only, so please book in as you normally would
We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Ps : Don’t forget that we also have classes on Tuesday nights for 3s, 4s & 5s from 7 til 8pm. No prebooking, just turn up
Training classes will not be held on Saturday the 03rd of April 2021 due to Easter. See you all on the following Saturday (10th April 2021).
Reconstruction works – 8 March 2021 to mid June 2021
The Yarra City Council has provided an update on the reconstruction of Parkview Road. The focus of the next stage of works will require the temporary closure of public on-street parking outside of Alphington Bowls club and the Alphington Park oval near Beckwith Avenue. Park users will need to use nearby on-street parking during this period.
There will also be a need for traffic management and some local detours so that the works can be safely undertaken.
Bookings Required for Existing members
We will continue to use our online booking system. You cannot attend a class or visit the club, unless you are a member and have booked.
