Saturday 27th March 2021

This Saturday (27th March) we will be running classes a little differently – a Ringcraft day – for classes 3, 4 and 5.

We will be setting up 2 rings, to let you have an insight into what happens in a ring during a trial or club activity.

One of these rings is to demonstrate and explain the equipment used. In the other you will perform the exercises you and your dog learn in a normal class. This will be on a one-to-one basis with an instructor in the ring, who will be able to give you individual feedback, and encouragement.

Times will be different to your normal class times and Eventbrite has been altered for this Saturday only, so please book in as you normally would

We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Reconstruction works – 8 March 2021 to mid June 2021

Reconstruction works – 8 March 2021 to mid June 2021

The Yarra City Council has provided an update on the reconstruction of Parkview Road. The focus of the next stage of works will require the temporary closure of public on-street parking outside of Alphington Bowls club and the Alphington Park oval near Beckwith Avenue. Park users will need to use nearby on-street parking during this period.

There will also be a need for traffic management and some local detours so that the works can be safely undertaken.

Training is back!!

Training will be returning from Saturday 7 November.

Due to COVID we will not be running our usual class schedule and will also be running a booking system. You cannot attend a class or visit the club unless you have booked and are attending a class.

Refer to the email sent to members from the NODC Secretary or Contact Us for further details.

The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter – Training will be returning soon!!

Keep watching for updates here.

We are all aware of the concerns regarding the Coronavirus Health alert, and we, as the Northcote Obedience Dog Club, are following the guidelines from Australian Government Department of Health, which is also the recommendation from Dogs Victoria.

We will still be holding training tomorrow. To assist us with minimising the risk to all club members we will be giving each other some space during training (1.5 metres distance from other members) and ask you also maintain a similar distance from each other before and after training.

To protect you and your fellow club members please ensure that if you are unwell or been in contact with an unwell person or even someone that you suspect has been in contact with a person with COVID-19 within the last 14 days that you do not attend training.

Instead seek appropriate medical advice. More information may be found on the Government Health Authorities sites.

If you suspect that you have become infected and have attended training within the last 14 days we ask that you inform the Secretary as soon as possible to enable the appropriate trace back to occur.

The AVA have provided advice that there is no record of Dog to Human transmission of this virus.

Further training updates will be provided though our communication channels Facebook / Webpage and Email.
